What you give is What you get

In software world we all have a terminology called what you see is what you get.
Some one also told me during my childhood days that what you give is what you get back in life.

Both of them never were more true when LalMasjid went on blaze on the other side of the border.
May be i was around 7-8 years when on a fine morning i read this incident called Operation Blue Star in Punjab and manipulative political establishments across the borders tried to induce further tension by using the incident as a step to insitgate sponsored terrorism. It took toll on probably on one of the greatest woman leaders ever to have born there after.
Probably i was around was 14-15 years old when again a terrorist organization down the country stood as reason to bring one of the charismatic Indian PM's and possibly the most forward thinking PM's we had till then to ashes. If it was mother once , it was son's term.
Few years rolled by and i saw news channesl flashing Kandahar. People made a joke that if Indian cricket team is kidnapped , what we need to give in ransom to get them back as we did to save human lives at the cost of a hard core terrorist.
If all this were perceived as probably Indian government's weakness and if these incidents never bothererd Uncle Sam , it was rightly so. There is a proverb in telugu which says you won't feel the pain , if it does not hit you.

Come 2007 , full circle , What Amritsar was with Operation Blue Star , Lal Masjid brought Operation Silence. I was really happy for once that what you give is what you get back. Though a peace loving human i never wished any human's blood getting spilt , am happy that now atleast some one across the border understands what it means to have a sponsored terrorism in place.

Let them repent for what they have done ,let the historians draw a parallel between Amritsar and lalmasjid. I do not want general to go down as what happened to Mrs. Gandhi, he needs to be there to write a foreword to the next generations about what it means to say that " What you give is What you get".

General ..All the best !~! its time if you apply and have same standards for every one around.

B'schools or Lalu ? (ofcourse Lalu)

Yes , i really wanted to write about this. Myeself being a IIM alumini as an executive MBA student , was really feeling surprised to see Lalu's magic turning around the railways. It was no less than a harvard case study to put it in the right perspective.

Well, i thought i must actually dig a bit deep to see if it had happened just like that or lalu has really got some thing in him. I think more than the techniques he used to bring railways cash registers laughing to the bank , it was his fodder scam that made me realize the brainy bihari leader. If he can simply fool the country around and get away with a 965 crores through a innovative scam , turning around raiways was not a big achievement as far as i was concerned. Look at what he took to do the scam "Fodder" that shows his brilliance.

The latest buzz is that he is wooing the retail biggies (yes all of them in the queue) to tap in the large godowns the railways own on a leased basis , barren and fertile railways lands for collobarative farming , even he is talking about setting up small to big market stores / malls at railway stations itself so that he can tap in the potential buyers who travel . Well , do you need to say anything else ..its a master stroke if it takes off as its planned.

How about some suggestions to laluji :

--There could be preferential ticketing in the railways depending on the date of booking akin airlines

--There could be a broad band service integrated into the train

--Have a mobile net cafe akin to pantry cars ,

--Mobile charging points in all the compartments ,

-- Wi-fi enabled compartments [ all these facilities need not be free , they can be charged as the user wants so that his ticket would reflect the same]

--Drinking water cans fixed in the compartments rather than just trying to sell rail brand water packets and bottles

--Digital timers / alarm services and digital station meter indicators when the journey in progress to guide the passengers

Am sure the days are changing and the people are open to being mature and pro-active..Laluji...take the railways to the next level.. we don't mind if you can do this and probably do another scam (if not fodder ...it could be cow dung which is of wide use in many a way to produce gas atleast:_)

Sivaji -The BOSS - Truly Entertaining, But ..!!

Let me also write some thing about Sivaji and join the elite group of millions (an elite group otherwise would have probably countable numbers) swept away by an enigma called Rajni and let me try seeing is there anything under the wraps that we need to be really aware of

-- True , its amazing that when i went to check out the Tamil version of Sivaji , the latest rajni flick at Hyderabad's Prasad IMAX , i felt i was in the middle of Devi theatre in Chennai..Tamils and Telugu's even kannadiagas , malayalis were just waiting for the BOSS to come up on the screen. Entire IT and Modern representation of Indian Society flocked to just do one thing clap and clap .let me tell you , there is the one particular gentleman from my wife's office wanted to watch Sivaji just because rajni hailed from Maharastra before anywhere else -

Now what else you want to say ..its just something way above comprehension. If One man can command such an adulation from all walks of life [from kindergarden students to folks who are powering up google and microsoft through their intellect] there is some thing in him. Whether he is an emperor or King am not the one to say.

For me he is a true entertainer , he exemplifies the rags to riches example , i have grown up watching rajni , he truly is a BOSS when it comes to the Silver Screen.

Now let me try to unwrap some thing else which i felt immensely so .If rajni can wish and end up successfully cleaning up the 20lkhcrore rupees of black money in the film[ i did not want to put a nuemric as i really do not know how many zeroes are there:_)] , am sure it would make him a real hero had he come out and addressed the folks to buy tickets not in "Black" but in "White"..not really sure where all did the money go when a ticket worth 100 was sold and bought at 500..[am only talking about India]

Now do i need to tell where the black money is.,..entertainment and real life are poles apart..but i think rajni is some one who has the reach to bring them to closer and more practical..

Still am humming those catchy Sivaji Numbers ...but am still wondering how many zeroes should i put for the black money that he is talking about both on and off the screen

Traffic@Hyderabad..Truly Disgusting

To all those proud Hyderabadis :
I guess traffic on the roads at hyderabad is some thing i need to write about...Never ever i saw a place with such disgusting traffic manners.

If pending flyovers and mushrooming malls are going to be the barometers with which a city's prosperity is going to be measured and indicated..so be it.. i shall not subscribe to it.

What does it gain to construct hugely imposing malls making basic human life risky!! The richer and bigger the car the worst the driving sense that you would get to see..

Yellow signals are not looked at all and criss crossing with bad mannered looks and words are hyderabadi..If hyderabadi Biryani made you so proud ..Hyderabadi Traffic will make you go mad.

Emerging metropolis if it were to claim itself this is one thing it would need to change. The system , the people and the context of living in its entirety needs to wake up to redefine this...

If you want to make sure your kid can go and come back safe to the school , want to see your grandparents able to go and buy a tablet at the near by pharmacy store happily, want to make sure you can quickly cross to the near by ATM to get some money without worrying much...folks..let us wake up...

As of now i can say that Traffic@Hyderabad..Truly Disgusting...shall we all change it together..guess we are all in this game

Indian Presidential Election- A Mockery of Our System

All these days there was one thought that was in my mind ...with a passion to write from the childhood..was always excited when the blogging mechanism came around..but did not know what to write and when to start..finally i have got a subject to really put my thoughts in place..

..We indians i think must learn not to make fools of ourselves and in fact must not allow some one to make us all laugh at ourselves.

What is happening , don't we have some one to become a president by qualification, deeds and achievements in the country of close 100billion.

We call ourselves world's largest democracy but allow our system to have a fight like school children to select one of the two available septugenarians to become our president.,isn't it shameful that a man who stands tall with integrity and loyalty to the nation is made a scapegoat in dirty political interests that our so called leaders carry with them.

Come on India , i think we must do some thing about this.. SMS / blog / mail /media let us do some thing.. When all of us can vote to get the culprit punished some time back , can't we do some thing to get this sorted out...

Rastrapathi bhavan should not be a retiring house for some one who really do not deserve to be there at all ...
